About the sarees
What does “handloom” actually mean?
Every saree on Sarasi is woven by hand on a traditional loom by a single artisan or a small family unit. Power-loom sarees can be made in a few hours; ours take weeks or months. The texture, fall, and small irregularities are part of how you can tell.
Will my saree look exactly like the photo?
Very close, but not identical. Each piece is hand-woven, so colour intensity, motif spacing, and finish vary slightly from one to the next. The photograph shown on the product page is the actual saree we will ship to you, unless you order while it's being restocked — in which case we'll send the closest available match and notify you first.
How do I care for a handloom saree?
Dry clean only for the first wash. After that, gentle hand-wash in cold water with a mild detergent, no wringing, dry in the shade. Iron on the reverse side at silk/cotton setting. Care instructions specific to each weave are on the product page and on the care label inside the package.

Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We never see or store your card or banking details.

Yes — you can check out as a guest. We recommend creating an account so you can track orders, download invoices, and re-order easily.
Can I use a gift card or coupon?
Active coupon codes can be entered at checkout. New customers get WELCOME10 for 10% off their first order. Other promotions are announced via email and our social channels.
Will I get a GST invoice?

Shipping & Returns
How fast will it arrive?
Orders process in 1-2 business days. Then 3-5 days to metros, 5-7 days elsewhere. See Shipping.
Can I return a saree?
Yes — within 7 days of delivery, unused, with tags intact. See Returns & Exchanges.
What if it arrives damaged?
Email us within 48 hours with photos of the package and the damage. We'll arrange free pickup and either replace it or refund you in full.
The artisans
Why does the artisan's name appear on every product?
Because every piece on Sarasi is made by a real, named person — not a factory. Showing the name is part of how we keep ourselves honest about that promise.
How are artisans paid?
We work directly with weavers, paying 30% upfront when we commission a piece and the balance on completion. There's no middleman taking a margin out of their share.
